Make extra money with advertising

A great deal of revenue is generated through advertising. You can share in this if you have your own site. Internet advertising works by using your website as advertising space. You can decide how much or how little of your screen you wish to devote to your ads. It works on a "pay–per–click" basis. If somebody clicks on one of the ads on your site then you will receive a small fee. The more clicks the greater the fee. There is another method called a referral. You get a percentage of the sale price of the item that was sold due to the referral. For example, someone bought a book that was advertised on your site.

Here is a list of possibilities. None of them are guaranteed, but there is nothing to lose in having a try.

How does it work?

You have to create an account with the advertiser and they give you a unique id. Then you can copy and paste a bit of their code onto your site. That bit of code contains your id, so they know then where the referral or click has come from. Copying and pasting code sounds simple, but the code itself is generated by their software and I have noticed mistakes. So the code itself has to be edited a bit first. But I can do that for you.

With Amazon Associates you could have a book review on your site and then place a link to their site. If someone buys the book as a result of clicking on that link, then they will give you part of the sale price. The more you manage to sell for them, the greater the percentage. Amazon sell other things besides books, so you could have a yoga DVD review too.

With Google Adsense you have to place an ad banner in sizes that they define and you get paid a few pennies every time someone clicks on that ad. You have to agree not to click on it yourself! Make sure your hosting is outside the US or you'll have to pay US taxes.

Yoga shops such as "yogamad" or "yogamatters" are online retailers of yoga products and will pay you a small fee to have their banner on your site. Either that or they will do a link swap. You put your link on their pages in exchange for them placing their link or banner on yours.

Many online companies offer an affilates program. It involves opening a free account with them and then placing a link to their site on yours. When a customer purchases a product from their site via that link, you receive a percentage.

How do I do it?

I will charge you a fixed fee in order place the code into your page. And that will be one off fee. After that, when the profits come rolling in, it's all yours. I can open the Google Adsense or Amazon Associates account for you if you give me all the details. The generated code comes from that account. You can also set up how you will be paid eg by cheque or by bank transfer. You can decide if you want advertising to appear on every page or just a few pages. How much money am I likely to make?

That all depends on how many people look at your site. It's called traffic. If the traffic to your site increases, then there is a greater probability that you will make more money from advertising. I'd love to give a figure but sadly I can't. It could be anywhere between £5.00 and £500.00 a month. I got about £20.00 last month. It's certainly worth a try.
